Foreign diplomats and agencies invited to inspect the new situation on the ground in the villages of Sreng and Prey Chan

Foreign diplomats and agencies in the Kingdom of Cambodia are invited to inspect the violations by Thai forces through the installation of barbed wire and container boats in Sreng and Prey Chan villages in O Bei Chon commune, O Chrov district, Banteay Meanchey province, under the leadership of Her Excellency Eart Sophea, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and accompanied by leaders of the Banteay Meanchey provincial administration on the morning of February 23, 2026.
The invitation to the ground by foreign diplomats and agencies in the Kingdom of Cambodia at this time is also to more clearly demonstrate the violations and international illegal activities of Thai forces on Cambodian sovereignty.
Please note that despite the ceasefire on December 27, 2025, the Thai invasion forces have been creating a new situation on the ground (fait accompli) that Cambodia absolutely cannot accept by erecting barbed wire, placing containers, and destroying people’s homes. The Royal Government of Cambodia has officially protested through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, consistently opposing these actions, and Cambodia absolutely does not recognize any change in the border line or illegal occupation of territory through the use of force.
