The leaders and civil servants of the Ministry of Cults and Religion, the Supreme Council of the Maha Nikaya, the Supreme Council of the Dhamma Yuthika Nikaya, the Supreme Council of the Islamic Religion of Cambodia, and the Christian Union of Cambodia would like to express our strong condemnation of the inhumane and cruel acts of the Thai military, which opened fire at approximately 3:50 p.m. on innocent Cambodian civilians in Prey Chan village, O Bei Chon commune, O Chrov district, Banteay Meanchey province, resulting in the loss of one civilian and the injury of three others. We all continue to support all measures and mature decisions of the Royal Government of Cambodia in resolving the border dispute peacefully, by adhering to the Cambodia-Thailand Peace Agreement, and urge the Thai side to respect the ceasefire, peace agreement, and all international obligations firmly, honestly, and with genuine goodwill.
